Student of the ceramist Guidette
Carbonell, Yvette Libert continue his
training, from 1952 to 1955 at Moly
Sabata with his hushband, the painter Jean-Claude
Libert.
After
three years in this artistic community created
by Albert Gleizes and Juliette Roche, Jean Claude and Yvette move
in 1956 at Villeneuve-lez-Avignon.
In this new place, they work together earthenware with electric kiln. They will stay here untill 1961.
From
1965 to 1973, returning to Paris, Yvette Libert execute for "french affaires culturelles" ceramic decorations in school-halls inspired by the models of his hushband. Also she create
in Sceaux (92), a ceramic-atelier for childrens and adults.
In 1974, the city of Antony gives her the opportunity of directing his own ceramic atelier in an experimental school at Croix-de-Berny. There she will continue his teaching experience for childrens in the working of clay and enamelled pieces untill 1991.
Today,
Yvette Libert continue to create original ceramics. She realise enamelled pieces , introducing
vegetal powder elements and resin,
Fontainebleau sand and others differents matters… In this very ancient technic, Yvette Libert finds his personal expression.
